Energy is a crucial factor in everyone’s lives. But do you know that to generate electricity to your home, the globe uses much of fossil fuels as coal, oil, and natural gas and churns out billions tons of Carbon Dioxide, Sulphur Dioxide, Nitrogen, Nitrous Oxides per year? Even the electricity generated from the nuclear power plant also produces lots of radioactive waste. All such emissions contribute to the greenhouse effect and acid rain. There are no effective technical solutions as yet to reduce global warning other than a world reduction in the demand of energy.

As a responsible consumer, please open your heart to understand what real actions you can be taken to reduce your individual and home daily electricity usage. It is not just an issue of small or big money, but also reflect your self-conscious and awareness towards building up a greener planet for the generation to come. Discard our selfish to wait other people to do first or awaiting the authority to increase the alternative energy production. Take our own initiatives first and then influence others to follow suit.

We have reached to a critical point where we have to explore bigger and stronger drastic actions than we have taken previously in order to ascertain that our next generation lives will not be forever affected. Don’t you want your son, grandsons to live happily in a safer, cleaner environment?

Follow below weekly quick & easy "Go Green 3 in 1" energy tips to build up your green home and reduce your energy bill.

Tip 1 :
Assign someone do regular check to turn out all lights and cut power to unused appliances by switching off at the wall socket or unplugged it to reduce the standby power usage. Standby power is the energy that keep used even though an appliance is switched off or not performing. An appliance left on stand-by mode will continue consuming 80% of their normal operation energy. (But there are types of equipment that must not be switched off such as home security system, the medical devices).

Tip 2 :
Set up your computer or notebook screensaver to 3 minutes and use a blank (i.e. black) screensaver. A moving fancy screensaver will consume extra electricity. The purpose of a screensaver is to save electricity while you're away. It is not a status symbol and not a source of entertainment. But if you leave the computer for more than 10 minutes don't rely on the screensaver. Just switch off its power switch.

Tip 3 :
Encourage family members to get active involved in finding new ways to conserve the home energy, by giving them some allowance from the amount saved from the previous month energy-save activities.
